Creating a Web Server API Schedule Account

Adding an account here will allow the user to access your RTS schedule.

  • Navigate to Setup -> Ready Ticket Network -> Web Server Passwords.
  • Select the "Show Schedule" tab.

  • Press "Add".
  • Enter the Account Name.
  • Enter the username in the UserName field.
  • Enter the password in the password field.
  • Check to enable "Send Admission Counts" if applicable.
  • Check to enable "Send Ticket Availability" if applicable.
  • "Save".

Creating a Web Server API Selling Account

Adding an account here will allow the user to sell using the RTS API.

  1. Go to Setup -> Ready Ticket Network -> Web Server Passwords.
  2. Select the "Internet Sales" tab.
  3. Press "Add".
  4. Enter the Account Name.
  5. Enter the username in the UserName field.
  6. Enter the password in the Password field.
  7. Enter the encryption key into the Encryption Key field (in most cases, you will submit the password into this field).
  8. Select a ticket fee item from the available items in the Ticket Fee item selection.
  9. Select a transaction fee item from the available items in the Transaction Fee item selection.
  10. Select an adjustment item from the available items in the Adjust Item - item selection. We recommend calling this item "[Account Name] Adjust". You should also make sure this item is added to station 99 in Station Items.

Creating a SQL API Account

The SQL API uses the Internet Data Transfers password. This is used for sending a SQL Statement directly into the RTS Database through our internet server.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • You will need to restart the software on your RTS Server for these changes to take immediate effect.
  • This can be done by going to File -> Other -> Restart Software, then press "Yes".
  • Most Web server users will also need your location ID, also known as your RTN Number. This can be found by going to Help -> About from within RTS.
  • Web API uses web schedule/selling accounts for access. This is used for sending various schedule and selling related requests into RTS. The SQL API uses the internet data transfer password. This is used to for sending a SQL Statement directly into the RTS Database through our internet server
